Hello everyone, hope you’re all well! Last weekend was the fifth round of the 2017/18 Trophée Andros at Serre Chevalier.

This was one of the circuits that I enjoyed most last season, however for the new year it had been modified, and coming off our victory at Isola 2000, we also had to carry 60kgs of success ballast.

On the first day, our pace was reasonably good, despite the additional weight, and I once again made the Super Pole. I finished fourth in the first race, which was a result I was really happy with considering the circumstances.

I had big expectations for the second day, as the guys who finished ahead of me in race one would be carrying ballast. In first qualifying I was quite conservative, taking third place, so for the second session I decided to push harder, causing me to make a small mistake that cost me.

Despite the error, I still reached the Super Pole, which I finished in fifth. At the start of race two, I immediately overtook Benjamin Riviere, but after that I couldn’t make further progress, despite showing good pace.

Finishing fifth for the weekend wasn’t a bad result, after having the extra weight for race one, but I’m still learning this very different challenge, so fighting with the leaders and regularly being in the Super Pole is a big step from last season.

Comtoyou Racing can wrap up the teams’ title at this weekend’s round in Lans-en-Vercors, and after their continued great work, we’ll be pushing hard to bring it home for them.
